Job Overview

Kendall Hunt Publishing is looking for a K-12 Associate Sales Consultant. This role will assist Sales efforts to sell products and professional development using solid arguments to prospective and current K-12 customers. Performs cost-benefit analyses of potential and existing K-12 customers and maintains positive customer relationships to ensure renewals and expansions.  Supports K12 Sales Consultants and open territories as needed including travel to accounts and events as appropriate. This position will be based in our home office in Dubuque, Iowa but we are open to meeting with qualified candidates for remote options.

 In A Typical Work Week, Associate Sales Consultant Will...

  • Learn about the K12 education sales cycle and develops the needed skills and sales acumen needed to be successful
  • Supports Sales team efforts to manage customer acquisition, retention and attrition
  • Conducts territory analytics to include research on local K-12 education climate
  • Supports Sales as they educate accounts on KH opportunities (custom publishing, Flourish, conduct webinars)
  • Collaborate with sale team members and other supporting departments to ensure accounts are well managed
  • Maintains prospect/lead list that is current, detailed and accurate
  • Maintains a thorough and detailed NAV CRM to include all account notes and email activity
  • Attends conventions and demonstrates a strong presence to promote Kendall Hunt products
  • Supports strategic opportunities which may include onsite presentations within a given budget

Characteristics of Who KH Looks for in Associate Sales Consultant You are...

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university
  • 3-5 years customer facing experience
  • Able to create and deliver presentations tailored to audience needs
  • A top performer that's used to going above and beyond the minimum expectations
  • Competitive, highly organized, and self-driven
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Well versed with Microsoft Suite, Google, Zoom. Online digital learning tool experience is a plus
  • Have a valid driver's license
