Job Overview
The Premier Account Manager is responsible for effectively managing a portfolio of small insurance accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, policy retention, and identifying opportunities for growth. This role requires an understanding of insurance products, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide personalized solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships with small insurance clients as their primary point of contact.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, policy-related questions and concerns.
- Regularly engage with clients to understand their needs and goals.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base.
- Assess client risk exposures and provide informed recommendations on appropriate insurance coverage levels.
- Monitor client satisfaction and address concerns to ensure a positive experience.
- Manage contract renewals, ensuring clients are informed about upcoming renewals and potential changes.
- Ensure that all client interactions and policy adjustments are accurately documented in agency management system and compliant with industry regulations.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, new insurance products, and emerging risks.
- Contribute to and ensure adherence to Premier Department guidelines.
- Provide back up support to small fleet and owner operator producers.
- Develop relationships with underwriters to negotiate premiums, terms and conditions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
- BA or BS or applicable job experience.
- Must hold a current resident P&C license within 30 days of being hired. A pre-licensing course is provided.
- Maintain continuing education credits as needed.
- Proven experience in account management, sales, or customer relationship roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to understand client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
