Job Overview

To provide placement and testing services to a diverse student population in a welcoming, confidential and student-focused environment. Ability to understand and interpret assessment administration guidelines.

Ability to learn, use and troubleshoot multiple computer technologies and proprietary software.

Ability to schedule assessments appropriately based on multiple variables including the college calendar, test vendor requirements, student availability, potential length of test sessions, and seasonal fluctuations in demand. Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in an organized manner. Ability to keep accurate records and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrates a commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful interactions with persons of diverse ethnic, cultural, social-economic, or educational backgrounds.

Competent, thorough, and consistent in administration and scoring a variety of standardized tests. Detail-oriented and proficient in recordkeeping, keyboarding, and computer skills.
The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
Administer placement and testing services for the college and partnering institutions, as requested.
Create and maintain a confidential and appropriate placement and testing environment.
Maintain accurate and confidential records according to established guidelines..
Coordinate and schedule placement and testing appointments.
Collaborate with staff to ensure student-driven customer service to all students.
Assist with the scheduling and proctoring of accommodations testing for students with qualified disabilities.
Adhere to proctor requirements and policies of the college, partnering agencies and institutions, and test vendors.
Coordinate off-site test proctor training and procedures in accordance to college policy.
Collect and process applicable testing fees according to college policy.
Complete data entry and other position requirements in a timely, confidential and accurate manner.
Assist with institutional and regulatory reports as requested.
Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission of NICC.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
