The Department of Nursing and Health at Clarke University is a well-established and growing program, dedicated to serving the tri-state area community and beyond. With a strong reputation, we are committed to excellence in education, research, and practice. Currently, the Department offers BSN, MSN-DNP Bridge, and DNP with concentrations in Family Nurse Practitioner, Health Leadership and Practice, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner programs of study. The Department also offers post-graduate certificates in Nursing Education and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with sights on growing the array of program paths. Our local and regional health care systems, such as MercyOne and UnityPoint Health-Finley, provide opportunities for collaboration.

We invite individuals who have earned their doctoral degree to apply for the position of Chair of Nursing and Health. This position is primarily administrative, but includes a teaching component as well. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Preference is for applicants with post-doctoral experience and/or academic experience, understanding of and/or experience with nursing accreditation, teaching experience in a nursing education program, background with leadership positions, and current Iowa licensure (or willingness to obtain licensure as a registered nurse in Iowa).

We particularly encourage applications from individuals with established teaching, research and practice programs in the following areas:

Nurse Practitioners (Acute Care, Family, or Geriatrics), Health Outcomes, and Evidence-Based Practice. Experience with CCNE accreditations is desired.
