Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Technician

Location: McCoy Group, Dubuque, IA

This position is responsible for ensuring that employees and tenants have a safe and clean work environment by performing ongoing maintenance and repairs for all assigned facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, professional, quality service to customers, tenants, and coworkers.
• Maintain building and grounds for assigned facilities.
• Oversight of facilities related vendors to ensure quality.
• Ability to do steel stud framing, drywall, door adjustments, and minor facility repairs/remodels
• Perform basic electrical, painting, HVAC, and plumbing
• Respond to assigned facilities issues and ensuring a timely resolution.
• Assist with facilities related compliance and manage recyclables and waste
• Maintain records for all preventative maintenance work performed.
• Responsible for maintaining and the ability to operate fire and other safety equipment.
• Recommend process improvements to create efficiencies within the facilities
• Available on-call for emergency repairs at facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 plus years of experience in building maintenance or construction with general knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful.
  • Ability to gather and decipher pertinent information so that informed decisions may be made.
  • Ability to drive and operate forklifts, powered pallet jacks, Scissor Lifts, and Aerial Work Platforms. Some certifications required.
