Robotic Welder Operator

Job Overview

Specialized Recruiting Group has an exciting new job opening for a Robotic Welder Operator!

Location: Dubuque, IA

Pay Range: $25-$30 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Set up, maintain, and operate robotic welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and technical data.
• Use an overhead crane to mount, align, and secure tooling and workpieces.
• Operate both manual and robotic welding machines.
• Inspect work for visual weld defects during operation.
• Ensure parts meet specifications and obtain Quality Control sign-off.
• Report labor hours accurately.
• Maintain and clean equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• AWS CRAW Certification preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience with programming and operating robotic welding systems (Sumig welders experience is a plus).
• Strong critical thinking, eye/hand coordination, and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read blueprints and assembly drawings.
• Proficient in reading/writing and understanding work instructions, work orders, and customer specifications.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and caliper.
