Job Overview
Job Description: Assist the F&B Services Director with creation, monitoring, and forecasting daily and monthly departmental profit and loss reports. Monitor service abilities of team members to ensure all executed guest services falls within established standards. Develop and maintain menu concepts and restaurant design. Manage supervisory and hourly team members within the food and beverage areas.
Job Functions:
- Assist in the administration and operation of all food and beverage outlets to ensure compliance with established company, health and regulatory agency standards and procedures.
- Monitor, approve, and enforce administrative procedures and policies of all Food & Beverage management personnel for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist Food & Beverage Director in establishing and monitoring financial goals for the Food & Beverage Department and preparing budgets to forecast projections.
- Assist in the planning, design, remodeling, or construction of bars, food outlets, and/or kitchen areas.
- Create and implement menus that establish portion sizes and plate presentation for all outlets.
- In the absence, or at the request, of the Food & Beverage Director, reviews and/or approves all personnel actions: hires, disciplines, evaluations, and discharges.
- Ensure adherence to recording and payroll timekeeping practices.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) years of prior food and beverage supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be able to read and interpret financial reports, budgets, purchasing journals, and the like.
- Possess knowledge of and administers standards for all aspects of food and beverage service, storeroom procedures, and cooking methods.
- Must be able to write correspondence and reports.
- Must be able to read and interpret BEO’s (Banquet Event Orders) properly.
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
