Job Overview
Clarke University, located in scenic Dubuque, IA, invites applicants for a full-time faculty position as the Assistant Director of Clinical Education. This is a12 month, tenure track appointment. The faculty member will assist the Director of Clinical Education in coordinating and evaluating the clinical education component of the curriculum and teach assigned courses. Courses will be determined based on departmental need and candidate expertise. The faculty member will be responsible for student advising, service on University committees as appropriate and scholarly production in alignment with standards outlined by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
The ideal candidate should possess an earned terminal academic doctorate (Ph.D., EdD., DSc, or equivalent) or be actively enrolled in a doctoral program of study in physical therapy or a related field. Candidates with a clinical doctorate (DPT) and a desire to pursue a terminal academic doctoral program of study will be considered. Candidates must be eligible for PT licensure in Iowa. The candidate should have at least 3 years of clinical physical therapy practice with preferred experience as a SCCE (Site Coordinator for Clinical Education), or at minimum as a CI (Clinical Instructor).
