Job Overview

At Clarke University, we look for individuals who lead from the heart and embrace our values of education, charity, justice, and freedom. By creating a community focused on care, we empower everyone at Clarke to do and be their best. We offer meaningful work, a safe and friendly work environment, and an outstanding benefits package including tuition remission and extensive professional development opportunities. So, if you’re looking for a place to make a positive impact, Clarke may be the place for you.

Clarke's CSWE-accredited BSW and MSW programs educate students in practice methods, skills, and concepts that advance the empowerment and well-being of individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. We develop mindful, engaged social workers who are prepared to competently serve their communities, responsibly engage in advocacy, and compassionately work for justice. This commitment flows from the mission of Clarke University, its focus on the Common Good, and the values of the social work profession. The MSW program's area of specialized practice is in integrated health which prepares students to work across a variety of behavioral, medical, and other health and community settings.

The university invites applications for our nine-month, full-time, open-rank social work faculty position, beginning in August 2025, to teach primarily in our MSW program. Qualified candidates must possess a doctorate in social work or a related field, an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, and have the equivalent of two years of full-time post-MSW practice experience. Applicants with experience in health-related or clinical social work will be prioritized. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, service to the department and university, and continued professional development. Rank is dependent upon academic credentials and prior higher-education experience.

To apply for this position, please upload a current CV, a letter of application outlining qualifications and fit, teaching philosophy, unofficial transcripts, and three letters of recommendation online at http://clarke.applicantpool.com/jobs. All documents should be uploaded in the resume section of the application. Confidential letters of recommendation can be emailed to HRletters@clarke.edu. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, however, interested candidates are urged to submit their materials soon as our review will begin immediately.
