Are you looking for hands-on experience in marketing, event planning, and communications? The Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Marketing & Events Intern to support our team while gaining valuable professional skills!

What You’ll Do:

• Create Content – Assist with writing press releases, website updates, and promotional materials.
• Assist with Social Media – Help run social media accounts for the Chamber and Young Professionals Dubuque while following brand standards.
• Support Events – Assist in planning and setting up for events like Leadership Dubuque, Young Professionals Dubuque, and Dubuque Dances with the Stars.
• Coordinate Manufacturing Appreciation Week Tours – Take the lead in scheduling two full days of tours with local manufacturers, ensuring a smooth and well-organized experience.
• Engage with Members – Help maintain the Chamber’s membership database, answer calls, and assist visitors.
• Work as a Team – Collaborate with staff, complete various office tasks, and handle confidential information professionally.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when scheduling tours.
• A professional, positive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Punctuality and willingness to take on different tasks.
