Shop/Delivery Driver

Job Overview

Portzen Construction Inc. is seeking a full-time Shop/Delivery Driver. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, PTO, paid holidays, and 401K plan with employer match.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver materials and small equipment from various locations to job sites and shop.
• Clean and organize shop and yard, ensure vehicles are well maintained and clean.
• Perform light labor work, occasionally lifting 50-100 lbs.
• Drive a vehicle in compliance with company safety and DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspections on equipment. Ensure equipment defects are reported immediately.
• Promote a positive image of the company by driving safely and responsibly. Operate company vehicles in a safe manner at various speeds, in various weather conditions and in tight work areas.
• Keep shop and yard clean, well-organized and safe.

Qualifications:

• Must have valid Class B CDL with air brakes and a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug screen, pre-employment strength test and random DOT drug testing
• Basic reading, writing comprehension and math skills required
• Must consent to MVR check
• Previous delivery driving experience and basic knowledge of construction materials and equipment is preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Lifting of up to 50 pounds, 100lbs occasionally, and the ability to bend and twist
• Ability to follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment
