Position Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, will directly supervise and coordinate activities of concessions workers; oversee McAleece Concessions operations; provide food and beverage products; and perform other duties as assigned. Duties may include management functions, such as purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and personnel work, in addition to supervisory duties.
Job Duties
- Answer customer questions about goods.
- Greet customers, patrons, or visitors.
- Supervise concessions personnel.
- Establish operational policies.
- Examine condition of property or products.
- Monitor sales activities; inventories of products; and work areas to provide security.
- Train concessions personnel.
- Assign duties or work schedules to employees.
- Maintain records of sales or other business transactions.
- Set up merchandise displays.
- Clean work areas.
- Sell products.
- Prepare financial documents, reports, or budgets; food.
- Purchase stocks of food and beverage merchandise or supplies.
- Hire and evaluate staff.
- Receive and inventory food and beverage supplies.
- Order, purchase, receive and inventory food and beverage supplies.
- Ensure food preparation, safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
- Conduct staff meetings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services which includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Service Orientation - Looking for ways to help people.
- Social Perceptiveness - Understanding people's reactions.
- Critical Thinking - Thinking about the pros and cons of different ways to solve a problem.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certifications (provided by department).
- Obtain ServSafe and IPACT certifications (provided by department).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Food service experience.
- Supervisory experience.
Supplemental Information
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an outdoor setting under extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, etc.

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
