Position Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under supervision, maintain accurate counts on daily attendance; receive and disburse money at pool facilities; use electronic scanners, cash registers and related equipment; process credit and debit card transactions and validate checks; offer customer service; and perform other duties as assigned.

DISTINGUSHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: Perform clerical, cashier and customer service work involving the application of cash management and accounting principles. Employees in this class work with clearly established billing and accounting systems and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisors through verifications of financial records and statements and through periodic audits.
Job Duties
JOB DUTIES:
- Collect fees.
- Reconcile receipts of sales and other financial transactions.
- Check season tags.
- Process sales and other transactions.
- Answer customer questions about goods and services.
- Enforce all general pool rules.
- Explain technical product and service information to customers.
- Calculate costs of goods and services.
- Maintain records of sales and other business transactions; daily admission, season passes and attendance; and season ticket holders files.
- Provide customers with general information and assistance.
- Issue money, credit and vouchers.
- Monitor cash at opening and closing of each day.
- Greet customers, patrons and visitors.
- Clean work areas.
- Answer telephones to direct calls, take messages and provide information.
- Sell products and services.
- Stock products and parts.
- Prepare daily bank deposit slips.
- Assist in daily balancing.
- Refer customer’s complaints to manager.
- Wear appropriate staff attire.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services which includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Oral Expression and Comprehension - Communicating by speaking; and listening and understanding what people say.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least fifteen years old.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with recordkeeping and fee collection.
- Experience using a cash register.
- Experience working with a diverse workforce and population.
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting or customer service.
