VDC Coordinator

Job Overview

Portzen Construction/Dubuque Plumbing and Heating is seeking a VDC Coordinator.

Duties & Scope:

• BIM modeling of construction systems
• Understand BIM scope of work
• Prepare model content for VDC coordination meetings
• Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines through VDC coordination meetings
• Create shop drawings to provide to the field
• Maintain a high level of verbal and written communication
• Understand single line diagrams and construction drawings
• Potential field site visits with the possibility of being stationed on a project site
• Work with Superintendents and field personnel to understand installation means and methods
• Provide top service to our clients with consistent and concise communication

Qualifications

• 3-5 years BIM experience
• Knowledge of Autodesk production software (Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Point Layout, BIM 360)
• Dedication to learning, expanding knowledge and continuous improvement
• Superior organizational and communication skills
• Problem solver with a strong work ethic
• Able to work with teams, supervisors and direct reports
• Motivated to complete tasks on time and on budget
• Mechanical Systems background preferred but not required
