Construction Project Manager
Location: Dubuque, IA
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000+ based on experience
Summary: We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a local company's team. This crucial role will assist Project Managers and potentially act as a liaison bridging client needs with technical field logistics. These efforts will deepen relationships with existing and new clients and continue the growth of our reputation and breadth of services throughout the region. A strong emphasis on development will be integrated within this role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee small to medium-sized projects and assist with additional projects as needed.
- Assemble pre-construction estimates/budgets and develop schedules and deadlines.
- Break complex projects into bid packages.
- Track budgets, update clients on changes, and coordinate and schedule all work necessary to complete building projects.
- Manage multiple projects in various stages of construction from development to close-out.
- Assist in continuous improvement on tracking job performance and integrating systems to streamline estimating to job reporting.
- Create and manage project budgets, including supplies, materials, and labor.
- Maintain continuous communication with clients and update them on any changes.
- Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
- Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Plan, coordinate, and communicate effectively with owners, superintendents, project architects and engineers, contractors, suppliers, etc.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of construction management experience.
- Good writing and speaking skills.
- Knowledge of construction methodologies, ability to read blueprints, and understand technical aspects of construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite products and Microsoft Project Scheduling software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Sage Contractor 100, Plan-Swift, and Bluebeam is a plus.
