Description:
The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) is responsible for providing high quality patient care in the MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center Emergency Department and inpatient hospital setting. The expectation of our providers is to function independently at the highest level of practice. Although this list is not fully inclusive, the general expectations would include assessment, stabilization, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition of ED patients. Hospitalist responsibilities include admission, management of care, consultation with specialists, disposition planning, transfer, and discharge.
The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitionermust have successfully completed a Masters of Nursing program or higher.Additional requirements includecurrent licensure in the state of Iowa as an Advanced Practice Nurse, demonstrated competency as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work with a team. Previous emergency or critical care experience is preferred. All providers are required to have ATLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP.
