The Virtual Registered Nurse (RN) is a 24/7 member of the Nursing Care Team, which consists of a Bedside RN, A Nursing Assistant or other Partner in Care, and the Virtual RN on our Medical, Surgical and Cardiovascular Units. The Virtual RN is responsible for collaboration, communication & facilitation of optimal provision of care through a computerized &/or digital platform supporting daily management of care.
The virtual nurse serves in the roles of mentor, clinician, educator, consultant/collaborator, and navigator.

About the job:
The licensed Registered Nurse (RN) plans & provides professional nursing services & standards of practice in accordance with level of experience & education, state board of nursing & established policies & procedures. The RN integrates the art, science, leadership & knowledge of the nursing clinical practice through relationship-centered, compassionate, ethical & respectful direct / indirect care.
What we are looking for:
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited professional school of nursing. Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment. Valid driver’s license where required by assignment. All registered nurses hired after November 2006, are required to obtain a BSN degree within 4 years of hire.
- Preferred: Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience:
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in health condition management, which must include adult condition management. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
