Operations Specialist (6am-3pm)

Job Overview

Hirschbach's Spot Division provides unparalleled customized Yard Management Solutions (YMS) to various customers, which allows our customers to focus on what’s happening within their buildings while we take care of everything occurring outside. Spot Drivers stay on-site and handle the movement and spotting of trailers in our customer's yards.

The Spot Operations team is looking to add an Operations Specialist to join the team in the Dubuque, Iowa office.

Schedule
Monday through Friday; 1pm-10pm with rotational weekend coverage.

As a Spot Operations team member your expectation is to oversee the operations of an assigned fleet of drivers to maximize the productivity, utilization, and retention of the fleet. In this role you also communicate with the Spot by Hirschbach customer base in all matters related to handling their freight.

As an Operations Specialist you will be trained and responsible for:

• Serves as the primary point of contact for customers.
• Accepts EDI load information.
• Creates appointments between customer and sites.
• Ensures loads are created.
• Ensures loads are processed and billed as required.
• Communicates load information to the appropriate drivers and/or managers.
• Updates driver load boards.

Talent Requirements and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent, paired with relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy and energy.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Computer proficiency and ability to navigate between multiple programs.
• Demonstrates an "All In to Win" attitude and performances displays self-motivation and a strong desire to learn within an unpredictable and demanding environment.
