Job Overview
The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for providing support to the van operations team by coordinating, managing, tracking, and scheduling delivery appointment times for customers. Additionally, the position will dispatch, schedule maintenance, and build trusting relationships with Tucker Freight Line’s drivers.
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 11am to 9pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Monitor customer emails and inquiries, responding in a timely and professional manner.
· Coordinate with customers to efficiently book and confirm appointments.
· Track carrier movements and load statuses to ensure pickups and deliveries are pacing as scheduled.
· Communicate with the Billing and Payroll departments regarding any discrepancies in driver paperwork.
· Collaborate with the IT department to update customer information and load details in the TMS system as needed.
· Understand customer needs and demands to proactively minimize delays and disruptions.
· Ensure that actions and decisions support profitability and align with the best interests of the organization.
· Properly screen potential carriers to ensure they meet Tucker Freight Lines’s standards and requirements.
· Utilize technology appropriately to support risk mitigation efforts.
· Assist with finding backhauls and provide support to the office staff as needed.
· Lead, direct, and dispatch a team of professional CDL Class A drivers.
· Schedule maintenance services with vendors.
· Manage all transportation and logistics for shipments to customers.
· Ensure safety guidelines are adhered to properly.

· Perform other duties as assigned.
- General knowledge of the trucking industry and commercial motor vehicles
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft word, excel, etc.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Must be a self-starter and have a positive, “can-do” attitude
