Job Overview
As the Order Management Specialist at Crescent Electric, you will support the wider sales and procurement and logistics teams through the customer order life cycle. In this role, you will provide leadership guidance to the Order Management team.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Account Support
- Daily communication with customer and/or Sales Representative
- Provide centralized, one point of contact for service/project requests
- Provide insight and problem resolution to customers for material shortages
- Daily review and research pertaining to incomplete shipments for immediate resolution
- Daily communication with logistics team to schedule in priority shipments, confirm status of current releases, research on missed ship dates, and escalation to appropriate parties
- Daily interface with Procurement team regarding new orders, changes to existing orders, cancellation requests, and delivery dates
Reporting
- Generate weekly open order reports to customers as requested
- Provide various reports back to customer regarding in-house vs. in-transit inventory
- Prepare any ad hoc reporting by special request from customer and/or Sales Representative
AD Hoc Duties
- Follow-through on RMA issues, confirm and apply credit memos
- Complete and follow-through on impromptu projects
- Resolve any shipment discrepancies
- Assist in general office duties as required by department management and customer service needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of customer service experience
SKILLS:
- Computer familiarity and Internet skills including use of emails, messaging, and information gathering. Knowledge of Microsoft Office helpful, specifically Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Acrobat Reader.
- A friendly demeanor, a good work ethic, and flexibility with occasional routine changes.
- Must maintain confidentiality of customer and company information
- Ability to operate under pressure, to manage multiple projects, and to meet short and long-range deadlines.
- Ability to stay abreast with company policies, products and services
