ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 Performs various jobs within the warehouse or on the grounds as assigned.

 Responsibilities around the facility can include pallet sorting, restacking, identify product that does not meet customer specifications and rework and sanitation.

Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.

 Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems – including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

 Physical Activities: Must be able to work in a busy, noisy, dusty environment with temperature extremes, work on feet for an entire shift and be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, and as needed or required.

 Travel: N/A

 Technical Experience: Must be able to obtain and maintain company issued forklift certification

 Industry Experience: Previous forklift experience preferred.

 Minimum Education: Must be able to read, write and speak English, and perform basic math.

 Preferred Education: High School Diploma/GED

Tray Packer – Night Shift

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews production schedule. Verifies production plan number. Notes any changes for trays, tray size or tray printing. Verifies that machine, trays and printer are set up correctly per production schedule.

Ensures proper shrink wrap materials are supplied in sufficient quantities and staged. Loads according to procedure.

Saves tray pallet identification tags. Records tag information and weight.

Reworks damaged trays as required.

Checks machine operation for correct feeding, gluing, coding, application of shrink film, film usage and other items as directed.

Checks products for labeling defects, correct UPC code, product code and date, correct tray printing for every label change, and any other defects as directed.

Physical Activities: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand on feet for entire shift.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hearing protection, steel toe shoes.

Industry Experience: Preference for pet or food processing organization.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have basic math skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Parts Room Attendant – M-F 2p-10p

To control parts room inventory, identify, order, catalog, store, account for and issue machine parts, supplies and materials used by division.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Control parts room inventory, identify orders, catalog, store, account for issue parts and materials using software.
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of the parts room.  
  • Receives shipments of inventory and ensures orders are correct.   
  • Initiates and maintains all required records pertaining to maintenance parts and consults with engineers/vendors as needed.

Frequent pulling, pushing and reaching. Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting. Requires working from step ladders. Ability to work with various chemicals and identify and use PPE in accordance with MSDS/SDS sheets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in nursing required

Fully qualified applicants will be graduates of an accredited dental assisting program and current CPR and Basic Life Support accreditation. If you are already a dental assistant, you also must be a registered dental assistant in Iowa. Out of state dental assistants are encouraged to apply – you will need to possess your Iowa license prior to employment.

We will consider applicants who are not already a dental assistant for our Dental Assistant Training Program. In order to be considered, you must have experience in a dental office setting in roles such as scheduling, dental patient support, or similar administrative roles.

Dental Hygienist

Role: Provides oral hygiene services and treatment to patients of all ages. Participates in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of oral health care. Provides professional dental hygiene leadership through compliance with established routines, policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides clinical services including but not limited to: oral prophylaxis, instruction for proper home care techniques for oral hygiene including tooth brushing, flossing, nutrition and need for professional care; apply topical fluorides and sealants; screen and evaluate clients regarding caries detection, periodontal pathology; assess medical history; operate digital radiography equipment; supra and sub gingival scaling and curettage; root planning; procedures involving team periodontal techniques; administration of local anesthetics; gross debridement in treatment of acute periodontal conditions.
  • Provides dental education and instruction to clients individually and/or in groups.
  • Assists dentist as required in treatment of teeth and gums.
  • Uses all available resources in diagnosis and treatment in an appropriate and cost-efficient manner.
  • Maintains electronic clinical records and maintains other records regarding services provided, supplies and materials used.
  • Participates in development of dental policies, procedures, dental record, and quality improvement plan.
  • Maintains, uses, processes, and stores instruments, supplies, and equipment according to established standards.
  • Participates in ensuring professional education for self and staff to maintain the highest level of expertise.
  • Maintains positive relationships with other professionals within the community.
  • Completes all other assigned projects and duties.

Experience: Three years’ experience required

Education: Graduate of accredited school of dental hygiene. Licensed to practice in Iowa.

Requirements: Current State of Iowa dental hygiene license/registration. Certified for anesthesia and Nitrous.
