As a MLT at MercyOne, you will Performs clinical testing, quality control, and maintenance in assigned departments, independently following established guidelines and predetermined criteria. Consults with co-workers, supervisors, managers, or Pathologist when appropriate.

General Requirements:

  • Independently performs clinical testing, to include waived, moderate and high complexity testing, to provide accurate and timely clinical diagnostic information to healthcare providers.
  • Monitors the collection, transportation, storage, identification and processing of specimens to ensure specimen integrity prior to testing. Takes appropriate action if acceptable criteria are not met. Recognizes deviation from expected results, analyzes and corrects problems using scientific principles and laboratory policies.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting of instrumentation and equipment. Communicates problems and potential problems to appropriate staff members.
  • Analyzes quality control data, makes judgments concerning the results and takes appropriate action to maintain test accuracy and precision.

Education:

  • Associate degree in a science-related field with a certificate of completion from a Medical Laboratory Technician program from an accredited institution. Military education and experience will be considered providing that the applicant has completed the full laboratory training course of 52 weeks and has at least one year’s experience in a military hospital. 
  • A minimum of six months clinical internship is preferred. Those with military education will need at least one year’s experience in a military hospital.  Certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent. 
  • May be hired into this position if he/she has completed the requirements for registration but has not successfully completed the MLT exam; however, the exam must be successfully completed within 6 months subsequent to hiring.  Demonstrates professionalism and teamwork. 
  • Has knowledge of and can operate laboratory related computer software and systems.

Field Initiative Manager

As a Field Initiative Manager at Crescent Electric Supply Co., you will be responsible for solidifying the local supplier partner and agency/manufacturer representative relationships for their assigned districts in the organization. You will work closely with those local vendor representatives and local field teams to ensure appropriate product training, marketing, and other promotional events are in alignment with Crescent’s product strategy as well as having the intended outcome on sales.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Develop and build upon Crescent’s relationships with local manufacturer representatives in the field to help secure mutually beneficial and profitable business within the districts of responsibility.

  • Understand the market climate and how each manufacturer representative agency aligns with competition in the districts that you serve.

  • Help align with the National Vice President of Supplier Partnerships strategy to support the needs of the branches and regions to compete with local and national competition.

  • Work with the National Vice President of Supplier Partnerships to establish, implement, and own the end-to-end product category strategy in each district. This includes working with Category Management to develop business plans that support the required services, physical, logistical, capital expenditures, and inventory needs for each district of responsibility.

  • Develop a market-by-market comprehensive plan and implement that plan across the assigned districts.

  • Hold local teams accountable for improved product category performance by working with each Sales leader to establish and implement performance criteria and quotas for sales, margin, and inventory performance.

  • Promote and launch an overarching marketing campaign per product category that has been developed with communication both internal and external to drive the business and improve category share.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

  • Demonstrated record of mutually profitable growth for the organization and supplier partners.

  • Experience in medium and/or large electrical distribution or manufacturing companies.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Familiarity with the construction and industrial markets and their related processes.

  • Serve as a customer advocate to internal business partners and supplier partners.

  • Financial acumen, experience managing and delivering results from revenue and margin levers (rebate programs, growth incentives, co-op programs, market development funds, etc.).

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to travel to branches, company training and vendor activities 20% of the time, which will require frequent overnight stays.

  • Most of the time sitting, using hands to finger or handle, and talking or hearing is required.

  • Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.

  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) with the ability to read computer monitors.

Position Supervised: 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday – Friday

What does Klauer ask of you?

  • Assign, train and direct the job assignments of associates throughout the shift to maximize efficiency within the various departments of the operation. Areas to include production, receiving and shipping.
  • Use metrics and root cause analysis to identify and establish improvement initiatives.
  • Enforce all company factory rules, policies, and progressive discipline process.
  • Monitor the production and shipping schedules to ensure acceptable on-time deliveries.
  • Use lean manufacturing tools to reduce setups, cycle times, scrap, and work in process inventory.
  • Accountable for observing and enforcing all applicable safety requirements.
  • Review production schedules and process flows to objectively evaluate obstacles preventing product delivery including monitoring internal lead times.

Physical demands for this job require standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending and stooping. Strength rating for this job is L – Light Work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
