PRIMARY PURPOSE: To process payroll actions based on changes in leave status; to ensure the accurate and timely entry of data; and to support delivery of the highest quality of customer service as a point of contact for internal and external customers and clients.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Ensures data integrity by accurately interpreting the leave and disability claims data coding hierarchy and applying the correct leave and disability codes into the payroll and time and attendance system.
  • Review reports for claim accuracy; processes and balances colleague time card file based on client's paid time off policy.
  • Responds to inquiries from Human Resources and internal business partners regarding plan provisions and administrative procedures
  • Assists department in evaluating results of absence programs and best practices in absence administration.
  • Assists management with special projects as assigned.

 

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education & Licensing
Bachelor’s degree with business or computer related courses from an accredited university or college preferred.

 

Experience
Two (2) years of administrative support experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Human Resources/Payroll experience preferred.

LPN/RN – Rheumatology: Hybrid Position

Description

Medical Associates Rheumatology department is looking to add a full-time RN/LPN to the team. Core duties of this role include: 
  • Support onsite telemedicine clinic by completing virtual patient visits with the physician. Facilitate follow-through on visit recommendations, including placing or coordinating lab and imaging orders, referrals, medication refills, and patient education.
  • Manage patient triage calls to evaluate rheumatology conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, and other autoimmune or musculoskeletal diseases. Individual will work closely with Rheumatology providers to ensure timely and effective treatment.
  • Coordinate and schedule in-office and outpatient procedures (e.g., pain maintenance, infusions, imaging studies) in collaboration with providers and support staff.
  • Coordinate and manage prior authorization requests for medications and procedures. Work closely with physicians, insurance companies, and patients to ensure timely approvals and minimize treatment delays.

Schedule: 72 hours per pay period, 4 days a week: 2 days onsite, 2 days remoteFlexibility in the schedule!

Experience – From one to two years of similar or related experience. On-the-job-training provided, no Rheumatology experience required!

Education – Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study or certification. Valid LPN/RN Licensure with the ability to practice in Iowa.

Interpersonal Skills – A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
