Typical Day in the Life   

A typical day in the life of an Assurance Senior Associate may include the following:             

  • Lead client meetings to establish engagement timelines, objectives, and expectations.
  • Performs audit, review, or compilation procedures for clients.
  • Manage all engagement phases, including workpaper, financial statement, and report preparation.
  • Analyze trial balances and prepare complex financial statements using audit software, Word, and Excel.
  • Reconcile accounting data with control accounts and conduct fraud interviews as needed.
  • Review staff work, prepare high-risk audit sections, and draft financial statements.
  • Provide financial analysis post-fieldwork to improve client controls and procedures.
  • Collect and analyze client information to solve problems and meet deadlines.
  • Coordinates various activities to meet client needs within a specified time frame.
  • Train and delegate tasks to staff based on availability and experience.
  • Conduct fieldwork at client locations as necessary.
  • Network, build relationships, and attract new business to the Firm.
  • Attends training seminars, professional development, and networking events.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required).
  • You have 2-4 years of audit experience (required).
  • You have a valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or working towards obtaining CPA license (preferred/required).            
  • You have knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
  • You can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
  • You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and can effectively share ideas and collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.
  • You are willing to travel as needed for client engagements (x% of time).

Compensation (as applicable)

$72,000 – $96,000. Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

Forklift Operator

Operators are driving through the aisles of the warehouse and picking customer orders from the racking and applying the customer address labels. Stormwater /Erosion Control Coordinator

Position Objective:
The Stormwater/Erosion Control Coordinator, under the guidance of the Urban Stormwater Coordinator, is tasked with a pivotal role that spans multiple jurisdictions. This position is responsible for the both erosion control and stormwater inspections as part of the MS4 programs for the City of Dubuque and the City of Asbury, as well as inspections for Dubuque County’s Erosion Control Program in accordance with the county ordinance. The role requires regular site travel to ensure compliance with stormwater and erosion control permits, accurate reporting, and diligent post-construction inspections. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and adaptability and maintain a clean driving record.

Salary: $25 – $30 per hour, based on experience. Flexible work hours, up to 30 hours per week

Job Duties:
  • Conduct field inspections for stormwater quality at various construction sites, following the ordinances and procedures of the City of Dubuque, the City of Asbury, and Dubuque County.
  • Document inspection findings in a timely manner in compliance with the respective municipal and county policies.
  • Collect and manage data relevant to the NPDES MS4 compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Regularly update SWPPP documentation and maps to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Identify regulatory non-compliance, facilitate corrective actions, and oversee resolutions.
  • Advocate for and coordinate the enforcement of MS4 permit regulations for both  cities and manage the county’s erosion control program.
  • Maintain and revise Storm Water Management Plans to comply with MS4 permit stipulations and county ordinances.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive reporting and monitoring program for the MS4 and county erosion control initiatives, ensuring accurate and detailed records.•
  • Investigate violations related to stormwater ordinances, illicit discharges, and illegal dumping, and execute enforcement procedures.
  • Respond to public inquiries, providing expert assistance, and fulfilling additional duties as assigned.
  • Assess existing and proposed stormwater infrastructure for compliance and effectiveness.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, water resources, or related  field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in GIS, Microsoft Office, and willingness to obtain CPESC certification.
  • Excellent communication skills and data analysis capabilities.

Physical Demands:   Fieldwork may involve varied terrain, weather conditions, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge of the menu and any special items being offered.
  • Provides quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to banquet guests and is able to communicate clearly with all customers.
  • Ensures that food items are served at proper temperature and immediately upon availability from the kitchen, as ordered by the customer.
  • Ensures neat presentation of all ordered items, with no spill-over.
  • Pre-buses tables and full buses tables when necessary during peak periods.
  • Maintains availability to work during many peak periods.
  • Stocks beverage station(s) when necessary (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc).
  • Maintains high responsiveness to customer desires and requests.
