Painter - Commercial & Historic

Job Overview

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces of historical and commercial buildings.
• Utilize appropriate techniques to ensure the preservation of historical elements and architectural integrity. Protects equipment, furniture and floors by placing drop cloths.
• Work efficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

• Knowledge and working experience of related tools / equipment / materials used and painting techniques. 
• Ability to write simple correspondence and ability to speak in one-on-one / small group setting to other employees and residents of the organization. 
• Valid Driver’s license, ability to pass a background and drug screening. 
• High school diploma or GED
