Maintenance Utility Technician

Location: Dubuque, IA

Position Type: Part-Time (20-25 hours per week)

Compensation: $18-$20 per hour

Description: We are seeking a reliable and diligent Part-Time Maintenance Utility Technician to join a local company's team. This role involves performing various maintenance tasks to ensure residential and commercial properties are well-maintained and presentable.

Responsibilities:

• Perform grounds work, including mowing, trimming, and weed control
• Conduct property checks at multiple residential and commercial buildings
• Assist with custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning windows in common areas and building exteriors
• Assist with snow removal as needed
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists
• Periodically inspect all units, buildings, and common areas, performing necessary repairs and janitorial work
• Operate a tablet/computer to input necessary information into maintenance software
• Ensure storage areas and entrances are organized, locked, and well-lit
• Assist in stock control and utilization of maintenance materials

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
• Basic understanding of maintenance tasks and equipment
• Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
