The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student-HR Coordinator for John Deere Dubuque Works in Dubuque, IA you will…
- Perform a variety of tactical tasks to support Human Resources, such as maintaining employee records, tracking and extracting data, scheduling and other such activities
- Perform one or more of the following duties: assisting new employee orientation or other basic training, coordinating employee relations events
- Utilize Human Resource tools such as SAP and Business Objects to view and extract data used to respond to requests for information
- Support deployment of HR programs, organizational changes, policies, and initiatives in support of the business strategy
This position is NOT available to students on immigration visas.
What Skills You Need
- Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; others may apply
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a local (Dubuque area) accredited university
- Graduation date of 2025 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work during the academic year
- Available to work during the summer semester
- Must be able to commute to the work location in Dubuque, Iowa, on a weekly basis year-round (NOTE: Relocation assistance is not provided.)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of people
