Title: Part-Time Student-Order Fulfillment Process (OFP)-Dubuque IA-Partial Remote - 85144 

Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position 

This position is open to partial remote work with work onsite as needed during both the academic year and summer semester subject to the discretion of the Manager and business needs.

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule year-round.

Your Responsibilities

  •  Maintains various reports to assist with reconciliation and/or to assist with correcting errors.
  • Produces a variety of correspondence and reports in support of department processes.
  • Enters data into appropriate spreadsheets and databases, and prepares reports as directed.
  • Performs analysis of basic or intermediate nature on information received, and researches or resolves discrepancies following prescribed procedures.
  • Updates and maintains databases, systems applications or files to ensure accurate and current information is available for use by others.
  • Maintains workflow and supplier invoicing as required

What Skills You Need

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Suppply Chain Management; others may apply
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
  • Graduation date of May 2022 or later
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Available to work 16-20 hours/weekly during the academic year
  • Available to work 20-28 hours/weekly during the summer semester
  • Self-starter with ability to think critically
  • Desire to learn new things and provide input into ways to improve
  • Excellent communication skills and efficient time management

The John Deere Dubuque Works is one of the key facilities in Deere & Company's Construction and Forestry (C&F) Division. The Dubuque Works manufactures backhoe loaders, crawler dozers, and skid steer loaders for the construction industry and knuckleboom loaders and tracked feller bunchers for the forestry industry.  The Dubuque Works also serves as the Center of Excellence for the C&F Division in the areas of Product Engineering, Product Verification and Validation, Supply Management, and Product Support which includes the Dealer Technical Assistance Center.  From a manufacturing perspective, the core competencies of the factory include plate and sheet cutting, machining, welding, paint, and assembly.
