Title: Part-Time Student-Product Engineering-Displays-Dubuque IA-Partial Remote - 82717
Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position
The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student on the Advanced Embedded Systems Displays Team, you will:
- Help build-up our suite of functional tests used to ensure a quality delivery of our embedded software on our Next Generation Display Platform
- Use functional and implementation specifications to ensure the embedded software functions per these requirements
- Setup the test infrastructure, to include an automation test suite, develop tests, and work with the Display Supervisor to institutionalize this within the Scrum Team integration test process. These tests will be a combination of manual and automated Software-in-the-Loop tests
What Skills You Need
- Ideally you will be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering and have completed 4 or more semesters of coursework; others may apply
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
- Graduation date of December 2022 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year - remote acceptable
- Available to work 35-40 hours per week during the summer semester - onsite
- Experience writing code
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language
- Effective communicator
- Excellent problem solver
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with Linux based systems, UML, and additional coding languages such as C, Bash, JavaScript, Python and Lua
- Experience developing with GUI development for embedded applications such as QT/QML
