Job Overview
Why Crescent Community Health Center? Crescent is a mission driven and patient centered organization. We provide medical, dental and brain health services to the Greater Dubuque area including our most vulnerable populations. We work hard to bring high quality affordable health care to all in our community. We believe we provide a diverse, fun, and inclusive workforce with competitive wages and benefits. If you are looking for a rewarding career that makes a difference in the community, this is your chance. We are seeking someone who wants to make that difference in our Human Resources office as a Credentialing and Insurance Enrollment Specialist.
So, what will you do? The Patient Service Representative (PSR) serves as support for all patient service operations at Crescent Community Health Center. The Patient Service Representative works in collaboration with various departments within the clinic to ensure accurate patient information documentation. Primary focus areas include accurate collection and data entry of patient demographics, timely and efficient check-in of patients, posting patient payments, and identifying and communicating patient barriers to appropriate personnel.
You will ensure that patients are assisted with pre-appointment paperwork, health history forms, and ensure that all patient alert notes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) are followed. You will also collect any required fees and perform "end-of-day" procedures to balance your cash. Above all, you are a patient advocate always looking out for the best interests of our patients. As needed, you will also schedule if the schedulers are unavailable.
You will need at least a HS diploma or GED. If you have one to three months of related training, that will help you in this role. Additionally, if you are bi-lingual, either Spanish or Marshallese, and meet the other requirements, you would be at the top of the candidate list.
Pre-employment physical, TB test and drug screen required.
