We are looking for a PRN staff to work in our Cardiology Clinic as a Patient Service Representative. This position is PRN which means you will work on an as needed basis to help with coverage within the department.

UnityPoint Health - Dubuque offers and outpatient Cardiovascular clinic, staffed by two board-certified cardiovascular interventionalists and a support Nurse Practitioner. This clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm, along with an after-hours answering service to help address patient needs. We evaluate and treat adult cardiovascular conditions and offer same-day appointments as needed.

Responsibilities

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service and office reception for the clinic. This includes greeting patients and visitors, patient registration including updating patient demographics and insurance verification, collecting co-payments, answering phones and taking appropriate messages, scheduling patient appointments and accurate scanning of medical records into patient electronic medical records.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have a High School diploma/GED, excellent customer service skills and strong computer skills. Must obtain BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 90 days of start date.
