Position: Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Status: Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN .

Location: Health Center

As a Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA),you work within your ethical scope of practice at all times. Follow all state and federal laws pertaining to healthcare delivery. You will complete evaluations, treatments and documentation in a timely manner, as well as work cooperatively with team members, and all internal and external customers.

Job Duties:
  • Will provide treatment following the plan of care as determined by the Occupational Therapist and ordered by a physician.
  • Will provide treatment appropriate to evaluate findings and within the professional scope of practice and individual level of expertise of the OTA.
  • Will report deviations from scheduled treatment minutes to the Director of Health and Wellness.
  • Will report patient progress and barriers to the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Will regularly consult with the Occupational Therapist regarding patient response to treatment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Must possess a current, valid OTA license
  • Positive Attitude
  • Ability to complete required in-service training requirements.
  • Must be able to move (walk, bend, stand, sit, push, pull, lift) intermittently throughout the workday.
