Location: Dubuque, Iowa

Compensation: Up to $105,000 / year + bonus opportunity

Sedona is partnering with a local Dubuque manufacturing company looking to add a Plant Accounting Manager to their internal team. As the Plant Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities within the plant. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, preparing financial reports, reconciliations, payroll, sales commissions, and accounts payable. There is one direct report to this position. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning the right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and receive a robust full benefits package.

What you get to do (in a snap-shot):

Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data, including financial statements, monthly end close, inventory transactions, annual audit, tax reporting, department performance reports, updating and maintaining projections, oversee regulatory report including tax planning and compliance
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Monitor and control plant expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development and growth.
Utilize ERP systems to manage financial data and generate reports.
Oversee and support accounting team with leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles, and company policies.

What we’d like you to bring to the opportunity:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Plant Accountant or similar role within a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and GAAP.
Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems.
