Job Overview

Position: PLC Maintenance Technician
Pay: $38 per hour

Purpose:
Install, calibrate, and maintain automated industrial machinery, focusing on packaging and process systems, to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

• Install, calibrate, and preserve automated machinery.
• Maintain, repair, and improve packaging and process systems.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, packaging controls, P-L-C, and electronic equipment.
• Analyze and enhance performance parameters of automated systems.
• Monitor valves and meters for proper operation.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and keep accurate records.
• Perform routine electrical PMs as required.
• Train production staff on electrical hazards and maintenance techniques.
• Understand NEC codes, read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Experience in maintenance, repair, and PLC systems.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for instrumentation and controls.
• Familiarity with P-L-C and electronic equipment.
• Knowledge of NEC codes and electrical safety protocols.
• Effective communication and training abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
