Job Overview

Kendall Hunt Publishing is looking for the next freshman, sophomore, or junior standing Publishing Services Intern to join our Higher Education team. This position will allow you to explore the field of publishing while assisting in the development and production of print and digital educational products. This internship is an in-person position located in our home office in Dubuque, Iowa; no remote work is currently available.

In A Typical Work Day You Will...

  • Assist with follow-up calls to authors for Publishing Specialist
  • Review manuscript and art files for consistency and thoroughness
  • Download all requested stock images in a timely fashion
  • Enter project information into database and assign ISBNs
  • Learn our digital workflow and create sharing sites for files
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

Who You Are...

  • You understand the importance of a positive customer experience and your role in that overall experience
  • You have a desire to work in the publishing industry with print, online and web-based product
  • You are proficient or knowledgeable of Internet software, Adobe Professional, and Microsoft Office programs
  • You don't mind taking initiative and consider yourself an independent thinker
  • You are a great communicator, people person and problem solver
  • You are a freshman, sophomore, or junior currently enrolled in a two or four-year college or university
  • You will need to be available to work during the school year, as well as the summer months
