Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Dubuque is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join a local company's team. This is a direct hire position, meaning the selected candidate would start on the company's payroll on day one! 

Responsibilities

• Manages and maintains inventory system
• Assists with periodic and annual physical inventory audits
• Maintains a consistent inventory of stock materials
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors
• Acts as the company’s representative in negotiations with vendors
• Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made
• Collaborates with other departments and leadership to identify needs and requirements for materials, products, and acceptable substitutions
• Prepares and processes purchase orders for materials and supplies
• Coordinates logistics for completed projects
• Provide other administrative support as necessary

Skills

• Proficient in MS Office
• A background in purchasing, logistics, and manufacturing is preferred

Wage: $50-$55k/year

Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st shift
