Job Overview
SUMMARY
Assures a timely processing of support related tasks for the Purchasing Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Process daily documents with scanning and coding per long term data storage plan.
- Support import and domestic operational tasks as assigned.
- Expedite orders by phone and/or e-mail as assigned.
- Process changes in pricing and delivery information as assigned.
- Maintain, collect, and organize data on various cost and trend issues. Generate reports and charts as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from College or technical school; or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of PC based E-mail, spreadsheet and work processing software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as prints safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Independent, accurate, and detailed worker.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
