A local Northeastern Iowa owned and operated company is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead a team of talented individuals and be able to apply focus on developing exclusive products, values and brands. The right fit candidate will possess a minimum of five (5) years of channel purchasing experience and possess a bachelor’s degree in business (or related field). This is a direct hire opportunity. Meaning the best fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll.

What you get to do (in a snap-shot):

• Manage a team of buyers and Associate Buyers by setting expectations, teaching, providing them the right tools and holding the team accountable.
• Work with the Marketing Office to plan and lead the development and execution of OTB program based on seasonal needs and sales strategies
• Ensure proper analysis and maintenance of company data
• Analyze and react to methods available to reduce the companies freight costs
• Work with vendors to reduce the landed cost, handling costs, and lead time of all products
• Budget sales, profit and inventory annually and establish similar goals with staff
• Work effectively with Ecommerce to develop the best-in-class online offering for all products and services
