A growing manufacturer in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Purchasing, Sourcing / Supply Chain Specialist.  The best fit candidate will support the purchasing leadership of the company as well as be a resource within the production environment as a member of the purchasing and materials team. The right fit candidate will use the company ERP / software programs to maintain accurate records of product shipments. In this role you will prepare purchase orders and send copies to supplies and departments, calculate costs of orders, compare prices and delivery dates to determine the best bid amongst suppliers.

What we’d like you to bring to the opportunity:

• Minimum of 1 year purchasing / supply chain experience
• Computer skills and be able to understand electronic processing. Technically proficient in Excel, Access, and ERP systems.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
• Possess, analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
• Ability to not only identify problems but also take action towards solving them.
