Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Radiology Unit Secretary-File Clerk!
Position Purpose:
Under general supervision, greets outpatients, schedules examinations, provides information regarding procedures, and transports patients. The age of the patients served range in age from infants to geriatrics.
Job Duties:

Greets patients and gives them instructions regarding their exam and communicates with all medical staff regarding their patient’s reports and exams. The age of the patients served range from infants through geriatrics.

Verifies correct patient using two patient identifiers prior to transport.

Transports patients to and from Radiology utilizing proper lifting techniques and transfers device as needed pertinent to the patient population of infants to geriatrics.

Receives incoming telephone calls and routes to the appropriate individual.

Performs office procedures and duties within the Radiology Department by scheduling patients for examinations and processing patient orders.
Schedule:

PRN - scheduled as needed

Work at the front desk as well as transport patients to and from the floor. Shifts are as follows 0700-1530 0730-1600 0800-1630 1600-2000
General Requirements

High school diploma or GED required. Degree from higher level education degree that requires a high school diploma or GED as a pre-requisite is also permitted

Six months to 1-year experience required.
