Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinate all receipt and documentation processes.  Work with AP to resolve receipt issues. This also includes post-shipment research to facilitate tracing requests, verify shipments and proper handling of inbound freight damage claims.  Handle any other warehouse issues that may arise.
 

Assist with warehouse cycle counts as necessary.  Recommend corrective actions to reduce transaction errors.

Work with the Warehouse & Logistics Manager to recommend possible consolidation and increase in warehouse density
 

Plan, assign and direct work of warehouse/receiving employees to include unloading, recording and posting vendor receipts.

Ensure fulfillment of Stock-out reports and hot requests. 

Coordinates with Production Supervisors and Supply Chain personnel to smooth kanban levels to meet production needs.

Act as the JDE expert on all day to day shipping & material handling functions. Daily work in JDE and Microsoft office is required.  This includes but is not limited to receipt transactions, receipt reversals, inventory transfers, PO inquiries, etc. Review or create reports in MS Excel / Word documents is required.

 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure accurate receipt of product while maintaining a balance flow of on-site and off-site products during any given period of time to meet the Organization’s needs.
 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has direct supervision responsibility for 8 to 12 warehouse/receiving employees.
 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Requires a general knowledge of manufacturing procedures, material identities, part relationships and production department functions.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hand to finger, handle or feel.  The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus, and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
