RECEPTIONIST AND DEPARTMENT SUPPORT
DIRECT HIRE: 1ST SHIFT ONSITE
LOCATION: WITHIN 5 MILES OF MANCHESTER
WAGE: $18/HR
Primary focus of serving visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them; notifying company personnel of visitors’ arrival; maintaining security and telecommunications system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcomes visitors by greeting the, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
- Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
- Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing personal protective equipment.
- Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer’s instructions for house phone and console operation.
- Services existing customers and end-users by answering product, parts and service questions, providing information and taking orders.
- Maintains mail operations by receiving items from post office; distributing mail; preparing outgoing mail for delivery; maintaining postage equipment, monitoring balances; completing control logs; requisitioning postage.
- Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains schedule by maintaining calendars for department personnel; arranging meetings, conferences, teleconferences and travel.
- Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data and graphics.
- Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing orders; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Identifies and anticipates safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions.
- Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year Customer Service experience.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a good command of the English language.
- The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Operate a multi-line telephone system.
- Basic understanding of office procedures.
- Commitment to company values.
- Computer and word processing proficiency.
