Registered Nurse Scholarship

Grand River Medical Group/Tri-State Dialysis is currently offering a scholarship opportunity for nursing students who have enrolled in their second year (RN year) of Northeast Iowa Community College's (NICC) nursing program starting in Fall 2023, located in Peosta, Iowa.

As a Registered Nurse at Grand River Medical Group/Tri-State Dialysis, you will be responsible for initiating, monitoring and discontinuation of hemodialysis treatments. You will administer IV medications and IV nutrition, draw lab work, identify, and anticipate patient problems associated with chronic renal failure.

Scholarship Details:

  • Tuition assistance of $8,000.
  • Full-time employment within our Dubuque Dialysis Unit after completion of RN year and passing NCLEX.

Employment details upon graduation and passing the NCLEX exam:

  • Full-time employment, 3-4 days per week.
  • Shifts beginning at 5:30a or 7:00a.
  • Tri-State Dialysis - Dubuque is open Monday-Saturday. Closed Sundays, Christmas and Thanksgiving.
  • Competitive hourly wage.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Enrolled in the RN year of the nursing program at NICC beginning Fall 2023.
  • The ideal candidate would be committed to providing a high quality, patient centered experience to every patient. Each day will be a learning experience and a different day than the day before. You will be part of the interdisciplinary team with nurses, technicians, nephrologists, dietitian and social worker.

Grand River Medical Group is an independent physician owned practice located in Dubuque, IA. We provide a wide range of healthcare services from primary care to subspecialty care for adults and children. We currently employ over 300 team members who help support the practices and clinical operations of over 65 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistant clinics, our urgent care network, and four dialysis units located in Iowa (Manchester and Dubuque) and Wisconsin (Platteville and Richland Center).
