Description:
Registered Nurse - Surgical - FT Nights **$10,000 Sign-On Bonus**
The Surgical Services Unit (SSU) is a 49-bed, post-op surgical unit for general and orthopedic surgery. Common orthopedic diagnoses include: same-day joint replacement, spinal fusions, and surgical repair for sport injuries, medical and surgical care for trauma and post ICU. We also specialize in general abdominal and laparoscopic surgery, genitourinary, ENT, cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, gynecological procedures, plastics, oral surgery, and diagnostic interventions. Our average length of stay is three days and 90% of our cases are elective. Patients start in the ambulatory unit, go to the operating room, and come to SSU post-op to recover. Our staff is highly energized and engaged on our fast-paced unit, and we have high patient and staff satisfaction scores.
- must hold an active Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Iowa
- a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required within 4 years of hire (tuition assistance provided as an employment benefit)
