Overview
We are looking for a PRN RN to join our John Deere Occupational Health department. We have a need for PRN coverage for all shifts and will need someone who can cover any/all shifts as needed. The Occupational Health department is open from 10 pm Sunday night through Friday night at 1030 pm. If you currently have a full-time position, please consider your availability before applying.

Responsibilities
- Examine and assess acutely ill/injured employees based on standing orders. Must utilize critical thinking in order to best triage employees.
- Refer cases to company provider or personal healthcare provider when appropriate.
- Administer necessary testing, such as audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing, to employees. May also need to draw blood for labs needed in medical surveillance.
- Administer weekly indemnity plan for employees.
- Prepare international travelers with immunizations and educate on travel concerns and medications.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee medical records on computer and written as needed.
- Accurately and promptly implement providers orders.
- Assist with work comp case management and follow up.
- Be able to function independently when department is staffed with single nurse.
Qualifications
- Must hold an active license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa.
- Position requires at least an Associates degree in nursing. RN employees are required to have or obtain a BSN within five years after their start date with UnityPoint Health
Finley Hospital. - Three years of nursing experience required. Occupational Healthcare nursing preferred.
- Certification in BLS.
- NIOSH approved spirometry training or willing to obtain.
- CAOHC approved audiometry training or willing to obtain.
- Must have experience and knowledge working with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated excellent follow up skills, interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
