Overview

This is a Weekend Package Plus position. You will work Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, plus (2) additional 12 hour shifts during the week, for 72 hours per pay period. You will work 4 consecutive weekends in a row with every 5th weekend off. This position is eligible for WEP differential. 

Resource staff float to 4 Med/Surg, 5 Med/Surg, 5 North, Acute Rehab, ICU, Behavioral Health, and, on rare occasion, may assist in the Emergency Dept. and the Pain Clinic.

Responsibilities

Provides nursing care for patients with actual or potential health care problems using the nursing process. Plans and directs the nursing care for individuals, patients, groups of patients and their families, coordinating care in collaboration with other health care professionals. Duties include performing physical exams and health histories, providing health promotion and education, administering medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. Interprets patient information and makes critical decisions about needed actions.

Qualifications

Must hold an active license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa. The position requires at least an Associate's degree in nursing. RN employees are required to have or obtain a BSN within five years after their start date with UnityPoint Health - Finley Hospital.
