ACCOUNT MANAGER

Established in 1855, Morrison Bros. Co. is a growth-minded manufacturer of equipment utilized in the petroleum and chemical industries and a global leader in the aboveground storage tank industry.  We’re seeking candidates for an Account Manager in our Sales Department for our Western U.S. Region and possibly Western Canada. Candidates will need to become a knowledge base for all Morrison products and distribution channels. Initial training and orientation will be based at the corporate headquarters in Dubuque, Iowa. The permanent work location will be based in the Western region of the US and will require frequent travel within the region.

Account Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer Communication: Interact with customers via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings to understand their needs and address any concerns.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong customer relationships by maintaining existing business and working to acquire new customers.
  • Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure customer requests are addressed promptly.
  • Issue Resolution: Handle customer complaints and find solutions to any issues that arise.
  • Customer Representation: Act as the customer’s representative within the company, advocating for their needs and improving the overall customer experience.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to customer behavior to understand changing needs.

 

Account Manager Qualifications

  • Education: Degree preferred but not required. Relevant experience or a background in sales, marketing, or communication is valuable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for customer interactions, group presentations, and training sessions.
  • Technology Competence: Comfort with computer systems and tools is crucial.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Experience in the petroleum equipment industry is a plus.
