Job Overview

Are you results driven and have a knack for communicating? You could be HODGE’s new Sales Representative! This individual will play a key role on our Material Handling team maintaining and expanding our customer base in the Bettendorf, IA – Cedar Rapids, IA territory. This is a full-time, base salary plus commission program, and offers the use of a company vehicle. An ideal candidate will reside in the Quad Cities – Cedar Rapids area.
In this role, you’ll be building strong relationships with current and potential customers to sell material handling equipment, lease material handling equipment and promote rentals as well as product support.

What You'll Do
  • Visit customer locations to evaluate needs or to promote product/service sales
  • Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, etc.
  • Provide knowledgeable equipment and allied options to customers regarding equipment rental and sales
  • Provide site surveys to meet customer application of equipment or Allied rental or sales.  Provide quotes, order equipment, and accompany customer deliveries and setup as required
  • Inform customers of estimated delivery schedules, service contracts, warranties or other information pertaining to purchased product
  • Maintain accurate and up to date information regarding sales and rentals through Salesforce
  • Stay current on equipment, provide knowledgeable demonstrate of use of equipment and safety recommendations
  • Communicate with customers through e-mail, phone and face-to-face correspondence
  • Promote equipment and Allied sales and rentals through approved company marketing strategies
  • Work toward continuous improvement
  • Stay current with changing technology
  • Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures
What You Need

Required:

  • High School Diploma, GED or continuing education
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Tools)
  • Valid Driver’s License
Preferred:
  • College degree and/or continuing education
  • Previous sales experience
  • Previous experience with/knowledge of material handling equipment
  • Forklift Operator certification
