McGraw Hill has an opening for an experienced and strategic K-12 Sales Representative in Northern Virginia (Stafford to Fairfax area) that will focus on Core and Intervention products. The Sales Representative is responsible for securing and managing sales for a variety of instructional materials, programs and services to public, private and charter schools/districts within the assigned territory. This individual will create and execute strategic business territory plans that will increase sales according to company growth expectations. Candidates must live in the territory to be considered for this position.
What is this role about?
- Attaining and surpassing sales goals, with the proven ability to develop and build customer relationships with the goal of maintaining and expanding market penetration.
- Creating and executing marketing and strategic territory plans, with excellent organization and follow through.
- Conducting successful sales presentations and coordinating and conducting in-service presentations.
- Using appropriate written and verbal communication skills internally and externally to facilitate a desired outcome.
- Managing company resources, including a company provided vehicle, credit card and computer equipment.
A Successful Candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least three years of sales experience in educational or EdTech products/services (or significant experience in educational administration or in an educational leadership role.)
- The ability to handle multiple large projects at once.
- A deep understanding of technology use in an instructional environment as it relates to educational infrastructures, such as platforms and curricula.
- Good organizational and territory management skills with the ability to address customer needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platform.
