Job Overview
- Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Enter and maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare reports and schedules as requested by management
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with company policies
- Process payroll accurately and on time for hourly and salaried employees
- Maintain employee payroll records, including wages, deductions, and benefits
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with payroll tax filings and year-end reporting (W-2s, etc.)
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Maintain employee personnel files and confidential HR records
- Support benefits administration, including enrollments and changes
- Track employee time, attendance, PTO, and leave requests
- Assist with HR reporting and compliance documentation
- Support general HR inquiries and administrative tasks
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, payroll, or HR support (preferred)
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll processes
- Proficiency with accounting software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
